You see this tackle a lot with the bigger TEs. My concern is the refs can't even get simple calls correct, how they gonna get this right? I could literally see a flag thrown on every questionable tackle on a big guy. SmhNoClapsPlease » Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:21 pm
It sounds ridiculous by its completely avoidable. There is no need to purposely swing your body over someone’s legs. There is literally nothing you can do to preserve yourself from injury when someone does that shit. Good call. Stop being fake tough guys about this.AngryRaidersFan » Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:22 pm
Fuck the stupid ass nfl. Anything to protect their golden boys (maholmes, kelce, Herbert, etc.)AngryRaidersFan » Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:24 pm
Lol it's a fast sport with a lot of bang bang plays. No one purposely swings their body over someone's legs with intent to do harm to that player.NoClapsPlease wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:21 pm:It sounds ridiculous by its completely avoidable. Who is purposely tackling like that? You ever play football? If you did you would understand how fast the game is. And you trust the refs making the right call? Learn before you speak.NoClapsPlease wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:21 pm:It sounds ridiculous by its completely avoidable. There is no need to purposely swing your body over someone’s legs. ....couldn't they just add another half dozen commercials, every 4 downs or so?.....Xramfan wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:13 pm:The good news is that there are so many penalties on the field that most of the time things will offset and the games will go longer and longer. Yay

Well said.signal wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 9:07 am:Whenever a new rule like this is introduced I always worry more about how it will be implemented than I am about the reasoning behind the rule itself.
I just have difficulty believing that umpires will implement this new ruling correctly since there is some subjectivity or judgement that goes into making these calls and well, there is disparity across the universe of umpires when it comes to making sound judgement calls. And the more you put on their plate in regards to making these types of judgement calls the more likely you will find disparity in how they are called and yes, incorrectly called.

Id be fine with this if it was a specific type of penalty that was only called upstairs and not on the field and only for egregious cases. But instead it will likely be inconsistent and another small advantage to the offense.vtraider » Thu Mar 21, 2024 3:55 pm
Wasn't there a record number of backup QBs that played this year or some shit like thatAttyla wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 12:59 pm:Just judging based on QB's I would think the new rules that say you cannot hit Barbie are getting the results they want.

There are players that absolutely do this intentionally. This isn’t something you do by accident.AngryRaidersFan wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:24 pm:Lol it's a fast sport with a lot of bang bang plays. No one purposely swings their body over someone's legs with intent to do harm to that player.
Clearly you haven’t, if you’re debating me about it.BoKnows81 wrote Thu Mar 21, 2024 2:48 pm:Who is purposely tackling like that? You ever play football? If you did you would understand how fast the game is. And you trust the refs making the right call? Learn before you speak.
